Juventus have revived talks with Chelsea defender Axel Disasi over a possible move to Turin this summer according to reports in Italy.
The Blues are once again set for a busy summer and have already signed Liam Delap, whilst they agreed a deal for Jamie Gittens on Saturday.
Chelsea are believed to have stepped up their pursuit of Joao Pedro, whilst they’re also said to be in the market for a defender.
Juventus interested in Axel Disasi
Whilst new signings are important, outgoings are vital, with Chelsea needing to move on a number of players who are surplus to requirements.
Disasi, who joined from Monaco for around £38.8m in 2023 falls into that category, and the France international spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa.
The Frenchman only made ten appearances for Villa, but Unai Emery’s side are thought to be keen to sign Disasi on a permanent basis.
Disasi has been linked with a shock move to Premier League new boys Sunderland, but it’s hard to see the 27-year-old making the switch to the North East.
However, Serie A could be a possible destination and Juventus have revived talks with Disasi’s entourage according to Tutto Juve.
The report states Juventus executives appreciate Disasi’s qualities, with the asking price thought to be around €30m.
Chelsea set for a reshuffle at centre back
Disasi won’t be the only centre back to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, and as many as three could be heading for the exit door.
There are question marks over the future of both Trevoh Chalobah and Benoit Badiashile, whilst Renato Veiga is expected to be sold.
Mamadou Sarr has arrived from Strasbourg, whilst Chelsea are still thought to be in the market for a left sided defender, with Ajax teenager Jorrell Hato a name of interest, although the Dutchman is attracting interest from other Premier League clubs.
