US: Travel and hospitality commercial platform Lighthouse has launched Connect AI, which enables hotels to be discovered and booked by AI agents.

Connect AI aims to bridge the hotel industry with the growth of AI travel planning platforms.

The platform will leverage Model Context Protocol (MCP) to provide current rates, availability, and contextual information such as location, amenities and reviews, for large language models (LLMs) and AI agents to read.

Lighthouse currently monitors rates and availability for more than 300,000 properties.

In turn, Connect AI will enhance visibility for hotels and groups, ensuring that relevant brands are accurately surfaced for commission-free transactions.

Juanjo Rodriguez, head of marketing and direct growth products at Lighthouse, said: “We’re seeing travellers increasingly turn to AI tools for trip planning, and our data shows this shift is accelerating faster than anyone anticipated. Hotels that connect with AI platforms now will be positioned to capture more value, while those that wait risk missing this transition entirely. Connect AI helps hoteliers get ahead of this curve.”

Connect AI is available to select hotel partners as part of an early access program. Hotels interested in exploring connection opportunities can learn more here.

Highlights:

• Connect AI integrates hotels into AI travel planning tools and other LLMs for direct bookings.

• Real-time data (rates, availability, location, amenities, reviews) is made accessible to AI agents via Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Hotels gain increased visibility and commission-free booking opportunities.

• Connect AI is currently in early access for select hotel partners, with future expansion expected.
