UK: Privately owned hotel investment firm L+R Hotels has restructured its commercial team and established its department headquarters in London.
L+R Hotels’ commercial leadership team has expanded with three appointments: Cheryl Kanarens and Ante Salapic join as cluster directors of revenue, having previously worked with brands including IHG, Melia Hotels and others; while Sabine Kern has been named global sales director, bringing experience from Marriott, Raffles and Salt Hotels.
The appointments follow the recent additions of Clinton Campbell, commercial operations director, previously working across Firmdale Hotels, Apex Hotels and independent brands; Gemma McAloon as director of brand and communications, formerly SVP of global communications agency W Communications; and Rayner Bauer, group director of IT, who brings experience from previous roles at Generator Hostels and Marriott International.
Joe Pettigrew, group chief commercial officer at L+R Hotels, said: “This transformation is more than a structural shift, it is a strategic leap into the future of hospitality. This new platform is built to anticipate change, harness data intelligently, and unlock the full potential of our global portfolio. It’s a bold step forward, and just the beginning of a new era for L+R Hotels.”
L+R is actively hiring across commercial roles, based at a new central London commercial HQ.
The group’s portfolio spans more than 115 hotels with 23,000 bedrooms across the UK, Europe, the US, and the Caribbean. The Gran Marbella Resort and Beach Club is set to open under Iconic Luxury Hotels this summer.
