Three days after the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed 26 lives, tensions escalated along the Line of Control as India and Pakistan exchanged fire. Pakistan violated the ceasefire by targeting multiple locations, prompting a swift response from the Indian Army. Islamabad has closed its airspace to Indian airlines and activated military supply lines. It responded to India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty by calling it an “act of war.” Evidence links the attackers to The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi visited Kashmir to assess the situation.
