The Sapphire Reserve for Business is an excellent option for travel-minded business owners who are willing to maximize the card’s multiple statement credits. These include an annual $500 credit for The Edit by Chase Travel (given as two $250 biannual credits, to use toward pre-paid bookings of two nights or more), up to $400 with ZipRecruiter (split as two $200 biannual credits), a flexible $300 travel credit and up to $200 in Google Workspace credits.

The Platinum Card from American Express

Chase Sapphire Reserve

The Chase Sapphire Reserve‘s welcome offer allows new cardholders to earn 100,000 bonus points plus a $500 Chase Travel credit after spending $5,000 in the first three months of account opening.

TPG’s June 2025 valuations place this welcome offer at up to $2,550 in value when you combine the points with the $500 Chase Travel credit.

It’s important to note that the terms for the Chase Travel credit state that the $500 promotional credit is valid for a one-time use only. So, if you apply the credit to a Chase Travel purchase of less than $500, you’ll forfeit the remaining balance.

Plus, keep in mind that Chase has implemented new eligibility requirements for its consumer Sapphire cards’ welcome bonuses.

THE POINTS GUY

The Sapphire Reserve underwent a sweeping refresh as it rolled out this heightened bonus. This refresh raised the annual fee to $795 and added a host of new benefits, including statement credits for The Edit (minimum two-night stay required), StubHub (activation required, benefit ends Dec. 31, 2027), DoorDash (activate by Dec. 31, 2027), Lyft (through Sept. 30, 2027) and more. Certain statement credits may be broken into biannual or monthly amounts and have additional terms.

American Express Business Gold Card
