Apple still has plenty of new product launches coming through the rest of the year, including at least two Macs. But today, a new report has outlined Mac models coming not only in 2025, but even those expected through 2026.

Report includes 15 forthcoming Mac models expected through 2026

Marko Zivkovic writes at AppleInsider:

Through our own data and information shared with us, AppleInsider has learned of 15 new Mac models currently in development. People familiar with the matter — and common sense — have told us that Apple plans to introduce its M5 chip within a matter of months, and that M6-equipped devices could see some significant changes in late 2026.

Apple’s product identifiers follow a pattern, so it is easy to figure out which identifier belongs to which future Mac. The following Macs are expected to be released in the next year, though exact release windows mentioned in this report are based on rumors and Apple’s expected schedule.

The full report walks in detail through the variety of Apple identifiers for forthcoming Mac models that AppleInsider obtained.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • M5 MacBook Pro in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes
  • M5 iMac
  • M5 Pro Mac mini
  • M5 MacBook Air in the same 13-inch and 15-inch sizes
  • New Mac Pro
  • Two Mac Studio models (likely Max and Ultra variants)
  • Mystery model that could be the rumored MacBook with A18 Pro

Many of these forthcoming models come as no surprise, as Apple has generally followed set norms for Mac upgrades with M-series chips.

However, the one detail that stood out as most significant to me involves the identifiers for next year’s M6 MacBook Pro models.

Apple uses ‘K114’ and ‘K116’ identifiers for those models, with the last digits referencing screen sizes.

Thus, it seems that despite the big rumored hardware redesign, next year’s MacBook Pro will still come in the same 14-inch and 16-inch sizes.

The last time the MacBook Pro got a new design, its displays changed from 13- and 15-inch to the current 14- and 16-inch options.

But it looks like the next redesign will keep screen sizes about the same, even if lots of other things change.
