Sunday, July 6, 2025, marks the closing of the National Learning Compensation Program, launched by Minister Augustin Antoine on April 12 at the Lycée National de Pétion-ville.
Yves Roblin, Director General of the Ministry of Education, expressed his satisfaction with the smooth running of this learning compensation program, which enabled nearly 80,000 students, including 48,000 in Secondary 4, like candidates in the 9th year of fundamental, to take the official exams with greater confidence. 3,500 teachers, 500 educational supervisors and support staff, and 60 coordinators across the 10 departments were mobilized for this activity.
This year, in addition to educational activities aimed at strengthening student skills, a nutritional component was added to support the academic success of students in the 9th year of fundamental and those in the 4th year of fundamental. Thus, hot meals were regularly distributed by the National School Meal Program (PNCS) throughout the program. This initiative not only helped improve learning conditions, but also promoted student attendance and concentration during class hours held on Saturday and Sunday.
Roblin praised the PNCS for providing hot meals to several thousand registered participants, particularly in the Departmental Directorates of Education in the West and North regions.
During the 2025 edition of the compensatory learning courses, the PNCS distributed nearly 200,000 hot meals to more than 19,000 students in the West and North regions, explained Kevenot Dorvil, General Coordinator of the Program, who regrets not having been able to reach more students due to a lack of financial resources.
