Chris Eubank Jr receives yet another fine from his fight with Conor Benn

Chris Eubank Jr (35-3, 25 KOs) has just been fined £10,000 for misuse of social media by the British Boxing Board of Control.

35-year-old Eubank Jr posted footage on social media that suggested he was using a sauna to make weight.

The Brighton boxer made a big deal about the weight restrictions written into the contract where he had to meet Benn at the 160lbs middleweight limit, with a rehydration clause of only 10lbs.

The three-time IBO world titlist documented his struggles with making the weight on social media, which has come around to cost him a hefty £10k, enough for a deposit on a car or house.

However, it’s reported that the former British champion pocketed up to £8 million for his fight with his family rival, so this latest £10k penalty is but a drop in the ocean to him.

That said, it’s the third fine he has received for the same fight, which has totalled up to an expensive amount.

Fines Received

£100,000 – For the egg attack on Benn

£375,000 – For missing weight by 0.5lbs

£10,000 – For misuse of social media and saunas
