The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador’s ex-husband, David Beador, asked a court to dismiss his restraining order against his estranged wife, Lesley Beador, Us Weekly can exclusively report.
On June 17, a hearing was held in Orange County Superior Court on David’s request for a protective order. As Us first reported, David, 60, was granted a temporary restraining order last month after accusing Lesley, 41, of physically attacking him during a recent argument.
Court documents obtained by Us revealed David and his lawyer appeared at the recent hearing. Lesley was not in court.
David testified at the hearing about his request and his divorce petition. He told the court that he was no longer seeking a permanent restraining order. As a result, the court dismissed the petition and noted the temporary restraining order in place has expired.
David does, however, want to proceed with the divorce against Lesley. He has asked the court to award him joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, Anna Love Beador. He also requested that the court enforce the prenuptial agreement, which he said provides Lesley with $10,000 a month in support for half the duration of the marriage.

As Us first reported, in his original petition, David asked that Lesley be ordered to stay 100 yards away from him, his home and his business. He asked for exclusive use of their Orange County home and proposed she continue staying in their Montana home, where he claimed she went after their recent altercation.
In his filing, David accused Lesley of being a “pathological liar” who would “state under penalty of perjury literally anything that will benefit her.” David claimed he had dealt with “countless incidents of domestic violence and abuse” in order to be around his daughter.
He claimed the recent fight started as they prepared to leave for a trip to New York. He told the court, “We started to argue back and forth, and she made several demeaning comments, and she was again attempting to provoke me as she has done on many occasions in the past.”

“During our argument, Lesley physically attacked me, gouging large chunks of skin out of my arm,” David said.
He said that during the incident, “Lesley actually shoved her fingers into my mouth attempting to silence me and later developed a self-serving narrative that I unilaterally bit her fingers!” He said Lesley also slapped him at least four times on the day in question. He also submitted photos of his alleged injuries to back up his claims.
“Lesley and I have had many ups and downs in our marital relationship, with prior [divorce petitions] filed and dismissed and domestic violence restraining orders,” David explained.

He told the judge that he was always concerned that Lesley was with him “primarily” due to her “desire to live a luxurious” life.
“In our case [it’s] not just a cliché that Lesley married me for my money. In our case it is a fact, she has made that very clear to me literally,” David wrote in a declaration.
Last year, Lesley filed a restraining order against David, accusing him of being verbally abusive and creating a hostile environment at home. He denied her claims. At the time, he said she was upset with him after he “cut off the unlimited spending ability on her credit cards.”
