NAVEX has appointed Nick Mitsuya as its new Japan Country Manager to lead business growth and localisation efforts in the country.

Mitsuya will be responsible for overseeing strategic planning and go-to-market initiatives in Japan, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive focus, brand awareness, and revenue for NAVEX. The company has stated that the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan, is a central focus due to increased local demand for governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) solutions.

Andrew Bates, Chief Executive Officer at NAVEX, commented on the announcement by stating,

“Japanese organisations are increasingly focused on streamlining supply chains, mitigating risks, and strengthening compliance programs. To support these priorities and as part of NAVEX’s ongoing commitment to significant investments in the APJ region, we knew it was essential to appoint a leader with extensive market knowledge. Nick’s hands-on experience in GRC and ERM solutions, coupled with his proven track record, make him the perfect choice to drive our business development efforts and accelerate progress in this vital region.”

Mitsuya brings over 25 years of leadership experience within the high-tech sector, with a strong background in sales, commercial execution, and business development in Japan. He holds a degree in Economics from Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto.

Before joining NAVEX, Mitsuya served as Country Manager at Strategy Japan. During his time there, he led sales, renewals, and marketing teams. His earlier career includes roles at Keyence and senior positions at companies such as PTC and IBM. In addition, Mitsuya worked as Executive Officer at DocuSign Japan, where he led the enterprise sales organisation.

Mitsuya remarked on his appointment, stating,

“I am delighted to join NAVEX at a pivotal time of growth, bringing the vision and skills needed to seamlessly drive Japanese operations to achieve our global strategy and help local businesses meet their needs,”

International markets remain an integral element of NAVEX’s business operations. The company continues to develop its resources across EMEA and APJ regions to support customer value. In January, NAVEX announced the opening of a permanent Global Capability Center in Bangalore, India, and also recently made further investments in Germany.

NAVEX’s global footprint now extends across America, Europe, and Asia, supporting more than 13,000 organisations. The company states that its reach provides over 88 million employees with workplace resources focused on safety and compliance.
