Preparation:

We start by preparing the meat marinade. Mix oil with lemon juice, crushed garlic, oregano, thyme, salt and ground pepper. Cut the chicken breasts into larger cubes and mix them thoroughly with the prepared marinade. Then cover them in a bowl with cling film and let them marinate for at least 1–2 hours in the fridge.

Meanwhile, grate the cucumber coarsely and squeeze out the excess water. Then mix it with yoghurt, olive oil, finely chopped dill and mint. Season the tzatziki with salt, ground pepper, and lemon juice.

Next, we start preparing the pita. Mix the flour with salt, baking powder, oil, and water. This creates a smooth and elastic dough. If it’s too sticky, add a little more flour. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes. Then divide it into 5–6 parts and roll each into a thin flatbread on a floured surface. Cook the flatbreads on a dry, hot pan. After cooking, lightly brush them with oil and cover with a cloth. This will soften them.

Skewer the marinated meat onto skewers.
