Unsurprisingly, at this point, PlayStation is not interested in Gamescom this year, just like the last six before it.
German outlet GamesWirtschaft (via Push Square) confirms that the console maker will be a no show in terms of exhibiting. Now, it’s not like PlayStation has completely abandoned exhibiting at game conventions, as come September, the console maker is poised to be part of Tokyo Game Show, joining the likes of Square Enix and SEGA.
“Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) currently has no plans to exhibit at Gamescom 2025. However, we look forward to exciting content and releases coming later this year.”
While PlayStation’s games won’t be on the showfloor, we can’t rule out potential third-party reveals that will still appeal to us PS players during Gamescom Opening Night Live.
