TNA’s Slammiversary 2025 lit up the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. A lot of attention was on the pay-per-view, including the TNA World Title match
During the Slammiversary event, Trick Williams put his TNA World Title on the line against two TNA stars. Joe Hendry and Mike Santana both entered into the contest hoping to make an impression and walk out as champion.
This match received a big fight feel with special entrances. All three competitors had a reason to win this match, but Mike Santana had the most pressure. Not only did Santana want to claim the TNA World Title from an NXT Superstar, but he also wanted to win the gold in his home state.
Fans were on fire for this match as the competitors fought on. There were a lot of big spots during this grueling match as they all took each other to their limit.
Mike Santana kicked out of Joe Hendry’s Standing Ovation as Trick Williams sold outside the ring faking a knee injury. Then Santana invited Hendry to bring the fight to him. After that, the two traded shots until Santana took Hendry’s head off with two Spin the Block lariats. Then Trick Williams threw Santana out of the ring and stole the win to retain the title.
You never know what could be in the future for TNA at this point. After all, their partnership with WWE has certainly opened a lot of doors and provided them with a ton of attention.
