It’s been reported over night that RB Leipzig now want to sign midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka from Chelsea, which will help massively with Chelsea trying to sign Xavi Simons.

As we reported on here, talks with Leipzig started on Monday and are advancing. We haven’t yet heard about Chukwuemeka being involved ourselves yet, but it looks like this is happening now and this could really advance the deal and be the best outcome for all involved. Chukwuemeka ideally wants to stay in Germany as well.

Yesterday, we bought you an article on where Xavi Simons fits into Chelsea and how it actually works. You can recap that here.

We used tactical analyst Connor Holden to help out with this and now he has completed his video to go with the lineup examples.

The video is only half an hour long and as part 2 of ‘where does Xavi fit’, we recommend giving this a watch:

I think IF Chelsea can get this one done then it will really help us be a true force next season because it should mean that we will find it slightly easier to break down low blocks, one of the biggest issues we faced last season.

It does not guarantee that you break down low blocks, but it will certainly help adding a player like Simons.

Get it done!
