Fate/EXTRA Record Delays Its Turn To Next Year

The remake of the presently still locked to the PlayStation Portable turn-based RPG Fate/EXTRA has been pushed from a formerly TBA date in 2025 to spring of 2006. The team behind the remake, Type-Moon Studio BB, the developers of the remake, would like to assure players that this delay is necessary for the game to be as high quality as they can make it.

Given that the original title introduced one of the most popular Sabers in the Fate franchise in Nero of Roman history, and an equally popular Caster in the Fox maiden Tamano-No-Mae of Japanese mythology fame, this contributor figures it’s reasonable to want to give the title in which they debuted due respect. For the time being, however, TMSBB has also announced that currently Japan only special editions of the title for the Switch and PS5 are currently available on the official Fate/EXTRA website.

Fate/Extra Record is currently in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 1, and PC via Steam. This contributor would not be surprised to hear that the delay will lead to Studio BB adding a Switch 2 version, but as of this writing it’s not confirmed.

What do you think? Looking forward to more time to ponder what Servant you’ll pick if you pick Fate/EXTRA up, disappointed in the delay, or something in between? Please, let us know below!
