Roblox’s Sonic Speed Simulator remains the highest-played branded game on the platform, but this summer, it’s really building speed. Gamefam and SEGA are teaming up with The LEGO Group to give the Blue Blur a brick makeover.

During the event, players can compete in challenges and quests in the new LEGO Brick Hill Zone. This colorful map rebuilds Sonic’s iconic world in LEGO pieces, including a Team Sonic Command Truck, Dr. Eggman’s Egg Crusher Mech, and all-new animations. The land will also feature limited-time minigames, in which kids can earn exclusive in-game gear inspired by the speedsters. The event will launch on Roblox Aug. 9 and run throughout the month.

Until the event officially launches, players can collect hidden LEGO bricks around the game to unlock a portal to the LEGO Brick Hill Zone. Afterwards, check back on Saturdays for exciting new challenges, like helping LEGO Shadow take down Dr. Eggman’s evil forces or rescuing LEGO animals scattered around the zone. As they complete weekly challenges, players will unlock limited-edition rewards, such as LEGO minifigure skins, Dr. Eggman’s Mech and its color variants, and Knuckles’ Guardian Mech.

The LEGO Sonic Speed Simulator event launches Aug. 9 and runs throughout the rest of the month. Kids can start building their speed now on Roblox, available for free on consoles, PCs, mobile devices, and tablets.
