There’s a new seat in town, and it’s not horsing around when it comes to good design in the workplace. Made for both public and private spaces, pony® is a seat and table combination that encourages a casual stance for your breaks, brainstorms, and spontaneous sit-downs. Designed by German-Portuguese design duo Relvāokellermann for Bavarian furniture manufacturer gumpo, it’s the perfect companion for hybrid spaces and creative corners alike.
Much like its namesake, pony® is nimble, compact, and ready to trot up to wherever creativity calls. Designed with castors and a rotating table top, it’s made to move, pivot, and adapt as quickly as your next idea. Users can saddle up sideways or forwards, using the circular top as a quick shelf or a mini desk. To adjust the tabletop’s distance and position to your sitting comfort, simply rotate it on its own axis.
pony® is not just smartly functional, it’s handsome, too. Crafted almost entirely from wood, its curvy outer shell is laminated and pressed into shape at gumpo’s Teisbach production site, where many of the steps are done by hand. Even the central column is made from a wooden tube, allowing every part of pony® to be finished in a single, unified coating. Thanks to gumpo’s in-house paint shop and precision handiwork, the seat-table comes in six finishes and six eco-friendly fabrics made from recycled plastic waste. It’s a design that’s not only agile and adaptable but thoughtfully made from the ground up.
Whether it’s joining a brainstorming session at the office, offering a quick perch in a hotel lobby, or adding a dose of design to a home workspace or café corner, pony® is ready to roam. Equal parts workhorse and show pony, it delights by channeling your inner cowboy but trades spurs for smart design and smooth mobility.
