Sony’s recently announced China Hero Project game, EXILEDGE, has seen a gameplay trailer drop at ChinaJoy 2025. It looks like a competent, if a bit stiff, Returnal-like game.
The trailer showcases a decent chunk of gameplay clips ranging from driving around the landscape on a motorcycle to fighting adversaries in combat that looks akin to something like Returnal without the smoothness. It’s clear part of the game’s style hinges on dodging and we assume it’s supposed to be a bit stiff looking.
EXILEDGE is developed by Enigmatrix Games with the help of Sony’s China Hero Project. Players control Alter where you must fight foes labeled as “Otherkin” as you dive deeper into the mysterious Talos towers.
Below is the story description:
The story takes place in a distant future after the fall of the old world, where colossal structures and Talos towers emerging from the sea have become humanity’s new home — the Edge. With the help of a mysterious girl named Zora, Talos Diver Alter journeys through the fractured Edge and Talos, gradually uncovering the truth behind the catastrophe of “that day.”
