Wish your power outlets could essentially double as phone chargers, without messy cables cluttering your countertops? The new Twelve South PowerBug is a minimalist charger that plugs directly into a wall outlet and lets you magnetically attach your phone for clean, cable-free wireless charging. Its compact, simple design blends seamlessly into modern interiors – especially ideal for kitchen spaces and bathrooms where outlets are often in plain site.

Because it functions as a magnetic wireless charger, the PowerBug also doubles as a convenient phone stand. For iPhone users, this means full access to StandBy mode, turning your phone into a glanceable smart display showing the time, widgets, calendar events, or even cooking timers – making it handy when following a recipe.

The PowerBug is Qi2 compatible, meaning Android phones with Qi2 magnets can also snap on and charge. While not every Android model includes the necessary magnetic array just yet, support is expanding quickly. The device offers up to 15W wireless charging, the fastest speed Qi2 currently supports – though future 25W Qi2 accessories are probably on the horizon.

Beyond wireless charging, the PowerBug includes a USB-C port on the bottom, delivering up to 35W of fast charging for tablets, earbuds, or other devices. When used simultaneously with the wireless charger, the port still pushes a respectable 20W, making it a versatile all-in-one power solution.

The PowerBug also features foldable prongs, making it easy to pack flat for travel or toss into a bag without snagging on other items. The Twelve South PowerBug is available in two colors – White/Dune, and Slate/Black – for $49.99.
