

The Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI) is sponsoring “Collective Aśe: A One-Day Conference on the Orisha Tradition in an Era of Global Change and Crisis.” This event takes place on Saturday August 23, 2025, from 8:00am to 6:00pm at the Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel [located at 233 West 125th Street (between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard) New York, New York].
Description: Join Collective Aśe for a transformative one-day exploration of the role of African diasporic traditions in confronting global threats. This is a time like no other, yet the Orisha tradition and other African Diasporic Religious systems have always been a beacon through storms. We’ll explore how our sacred traditions can help us rise to meet today’s political, social, and environmental crisis.
