Striking the Perfect Balance in FRAMA’s New Ratio Collection

Minimalism may look effortless, but anyone who’s tried to furnish a room with restraint and intention knows it’s a very delicate balancing act. Details like scale, silhouette, and materiality make a huge difference in elevating a space – and can just as easily throw it completely off. With their new Ratio series for Copenhagen-based FRAMA, Ana Magalhães Ilharco and Matilde Cortez de Lobão of ilo walk that tightrope with grace.

Ratio Console

The Ratio collection includes a chest, console, side table, and trolley – each one an elegant study in simple geometry and balance. Despite their substantial scale, ilo introduces a sense of lightness with the floating shelf that tops each piece, delicately yet confidently supported by two slim wooden uprights.

The Ratio Chest highlights the natural beauty of the wood grain across its wide front, providing significant closed storage while maintaining a calm, grounded presence.
