Caribbean Art Renaissance (CAR) recently shared their call for contributions for the 2026 Caribbean Art Renaissance Calendar. CAR writes, “Hello, visual artists of the Caribbean and Latin America! We’re thrilled to invite you to submit your original artwork for a chance to be featured in our 2026 Caribbean Art Renaissance calendar.” The deadline for submission of artwork is September 19, 2025. Entry Guidelines:
1. Eligibility: Open to visual artists residing in the Caribbean and Latin America and/or artists of Caribbean or Latin heritage. Mediums include paintings, illustrations (pencil, marker, charcoal, pastels), photography, sculpture, and mixed media.
2. Artwork Submission:
- Artists may submit up to three (3) pieces of original artwork for us to review and select.
- Each submission must include high-quality digital images of the artwork (minimum resolution of 300 DPI).
- *Artwork must be original and not previously published or submitted to other competitions.
3. Theme: Artwork should reflect the spirit, culture, essence, pulse, and reflections of the Caribbean and Latin America. Themes may include landscapes, cultural heritage, portraits, people, scenery, or personal narratives.
4. Submission Format: Provide a title, medium, dimensions, and year of creation for each piece;include a brief artist statement (150 words max) that describes your work and artistic vision; submit all materials via email to CaribbeanArtRenaissance@yahoo.com.
6. Deadline: All submissions must be received by September 19, 2025. Late submissions will not be considered.
7. Judging and Selection: A panel of judges will review all entries and select 12 original artworks for inclusion in the calendar.Artists will be notified of their selection status by October 10, 2025.
8.Rights and Usage: By submitting artwork for consideration, artists grant Caribbean Art Renaissance permission to reproduce the selected artworks in the 2026 Caribbean Art Renaissance calendar. This includes the right to use the images for promotional purposes related to the calendar, including but not limited to marketing materials, social media posts, and press releases.
Furthermore, artists understand and agree that the selected artworks will be made available for sale as part of the calendar both online and through direct requests for shipment. Caribbean Art Renaissance reserves the right to distribute the calendars featuring the artwork in physical and digital formats, ensuring accessibility to a wide audience. Despite granting these rights for reproduction and distribution, artists retain all intellectual property rights to their original work. This includes the right to use, sell, and reproduce their artwork in any other context, separate from the calendar project. Artists will be credited appropriately in the calendar and all associated promotional materials. By participating in this submission process, artists acknowledge and agree to these terms regarding the usage of their artwork.
