The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) together with the National Department of Health have appealed to the public to stop hindering people’s access to public healthcare facilities, saying access to healthcare services in South Africa is a right afforded to everyone within the Republic’s borders, as guaranteed by the Constitution.
This comes after anti-migrant group Operation Dudula has been hogging the headlines, conducting raids in hijacked buildings across the country and preventing illegal immigrants from accessing healthcare facilities in some areas
