Manchester United kicked off the Premier League campaign with a 1-0 defeat against Arsenal, despite dominating the game and creating the better chances. The match was ultimately decided by an early goal that could be blamed on the referee’s inability to spot the foul and Altay Bayindir not being strong enough.
There had been questions about why Bayindir was starting, given Andre Onana was fit, but last season’s no.1 didn’t even make the bench.
