Konnan’s induction into the AAA Hall of Fame during Triplemanía XXXIII was supposed to be a career-defining night—but a heated exchange with a fan nearly stole the spotlight. Now, the legendary figure is finally speaking out about what really happened.

During the latest episode of his Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Konnan addressed the viral moment where he was seen cursing out a fan in the crowd during his on-screen appearance. According to him, the situation wasn’t just random heckling—it got personal fast.

“Well, the whole night he’d been [heckling] people, right? But what really got me is that—I don’t need to tell you ’cause you know this as a fact—how much I love Aalyah, my goddaughter, and Angie. And they were going back at each other and I said, ‘You know what? Enough’s enough with this.’”

Konnan confirmed that the fan was targeting Rey Mysterio’s family—specifically Rey’s wife Angie and daughter Aalyah, who also happens to be Konnan’s goddaughter. That’s when he snapped and let the fan have it. Despite the public outburst, the crowd in Arena CDMX wasn’t upset—in fact, they were on his side.

“The people could have really reacted negatively, but they all popped because they were like, ‘This guy deserves it.’ Everybody around there knew what was going on.”

Konnan even cracked a joke about the altercation, saying he “burned the guy three times” during the exchange.

While his Hall of Fame speech had emotional moments—including a tribute to Antonio Peña, Perro Aguayo, and Rey Mysterio—it’s this raw reaction that reminded fans just how real Konnan is, even when the cameras are rolling.

What do you think—did Konnan go too far or was he justified in standing up for Rey Mysterio’s family? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
