It hasn’t taken long for Estevão Willian to make his mark at Chelsea.
The 18-year-old Brazilian has only just pulled on a blue shirt, but against West Ham the fans were already singing his name with a brand-new Estevão Chelsea chant.
When a player gets a song, it’s usually because there’s hype around them, they’ve started performing well, or they’re a homegrown talent.
At just 18, he’s shown the raw talent, fearlessness and enthusiasm to be at the club that gets you on the right side of supporters.
For Estevão to have his own chant so quickly says a great deal about the excitement surrounding him.
Why All The Fuss About Estevao
Estevao is tipped to be a generational talent.
Nicknamed “Messinho” back in Brazil, Estevão came through the youth ranks at Cruzeiro before joining Palmeiras in 2021.
By the time he turned 17 he was already a star of the Brazilian youth scene, winning trophies, scoring goals, and earning comparisons to Neymar.
In 2023, he made his professional debut, and by 2024, he was lighting up the Brasileirão, with 13 goals and 9 assists in a breakout season that saw him named Best Player and Best Young Talent in Brazil’s top flight.
Chelsea swooped in with a deal worth up to €60m, and after turning 18 he finally made the move to Stamford Bridge in July 2025.
It hasn’t taken long for him to make an impact. In only his second Premier League appearance, Estevão set up Enzo Fernández against West Ham, becoming the youngest Chelsea player to provide a Premier League assist.
