Nathan Cruz just took a major step in his wrestling journey—and this time, it’s backstage.
The veteran UK wrestler confirmed on August 26 via Instagram that he has officially joined All Elite Wrestling as a coach and agent.
Cruz shared the big news following AEW’s record-setting event at the O2 Arena in London, where the company drew one of the largest crowds in wrestling history. After nearly two decades in the business, Cruz called the new opportunity a career-defining moment.
“What an amazing week. I am so grateful to @aew and @tonyrkhan for this incredible opportunity to join the team as a coach/agent. Everyone has been so welcoming and I couldn’t be more proud to be joining a team that last night set an attendance record for professional wrestling inside the O2 Arena in London!”
The former PROGRESS and NGW standout revealed that he had been holding back the news for quite some time, making the announcement even more emotional for him.
“I’ve been sitting on this news for quite a while now and it’s a relief to be able to finally talk about it publicly.”
Cruz, known for his grit and long road through the independent scene, reflected on his journey in the caption—referencing the challenges and setbacks that defined his 19-year career.
“After 19 years in this industry, many ups and downs that have been well documented for those who know my career; this honestly means more than I could put into words.”
He closed out the post simply with: “Thank you 🙏🏼”
Cruz’s signing adds more UK representation to AEW’s backstage staff and brings valuable experience to the coaching team, especially as the company continues to build its international presence.
