In this video, I am going to tell you about most of the popular courses after 12th medical.
MBBS
It is probably the most popular medical course available in India. MBBS course is 5½ years long. The academic program is of 4½ years duration. In the end, there’s a 1-year long internship program. MBBS is the minimum qualification required to practice as a Doctor in India. In this course, students are taught human anatomy, medicine, drug formulation, physiology, pharmacology, pathology, biochemistry, microbiology and method of surgery.
B.D.S (Bachelor of Dental Surgery):
BDS is the next best and most preferred course after MBBS. Bachelor of Dental Surgery is an undergraduate Dentistry course. The duration of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery course is 4 years regular study followed by 1 year of internship. B.D.S. enables one to become a Dentist. Dental Courses comprise didactic lectures, demonstrations, group discussions, seminars, clinical work, and conferences.
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery:
This degree program is granted to those students who studied modern medicines and traditional Ayurveda. Apart from the Ayurvedic medicines and herbs, this field also includes various other treatment methods such as body massages, purification & detoxification, meditation, and dietary changes.
BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic medicine and surgery):
B.H.M.S. or Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery is an undergraduate Homoeopathic Medical course. Homeopathy is a holistic system of medicine that is based on treating the individual with highly diluted substances given in mainly tablet form, which triggers the body’s natural system of healing. The duration of B.H.M.S. is 5½ years which includes an internship. Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery degree as an alternative medicine degree provides basic and in-depth knowledge of the Homoeopathic medicinal system.
BUMS (Bachelor Of Unani Medicine and Surgery):
Unani is the fourth most popular medication system in India after the allopathic, ayurvedic and homeopathic system. This is similar to the Ayurveda in terms of the four elements and as popular as the Ayurveda.
B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy)
Bachelor of Pharmacy is an undergraduate Pharmacy course. Pharmacy is the art and science of preparing and dispensing drugs and medicines. The duration of Pharmacy is four years whose curriculum is covered in 6-8 Semesters, varying from institute to institute. The curriculum provides valuable knowledge of health care and biochemical science. Students are expected to perform a number of experiments along with theory classes.
Bachelor of Physiotherapy
B.Sc Nursing:
B.Sc. Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing is an undergraduate Nursing course. Nursing is a healthcare profession focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so that they may attain, maintain or recover to optimal health and lead quality life. During the course, students are taught to work in a variety of specialties.
Paramedical courses are related to the allied healthcare sector. Such courses deal with subjects like medical lab technology, diagnosis technology, radiology, etc. Some of those courses after 12th are:
