The Pinkfong Company is partnering with NYC Ferry to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Baby Shark with the first-ever Baby Shark-themed ferry experience in the U.S. For one day, Aug. 30, families can hop aboard select Astoria route departures between 11 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. for a day of music, dancing, character meet and greets, photo opportunities, and special giveaways.

The Astoria route travels along the East River, connecting Manhattan’s Upper East Side to Astoria in Queens and south to Wall Street, offering views of the New York City skyline. Tickets are required to board and can be purchased through the NYC Ferry app or at ticket vending machines located at each landing. Schedules are available on the NYC Ferry website and app, with updates shared on NYC Ferry’s social media channels. Vacationers headed to the Rockaways will be spared from the Internet’s most popular earworm.
“This collaboration with NYC Ferry brings Baby Shark to the heart of New York… creating joyful moments for families to sing, dance, and celebrate together on the water,” says Bin Jeong, CEO of Pinkfong USA.
NYC Ferry’s 38-vessel fleet was named by local second graders, including one called Cyclone Shark. (The Toy Book’s favorite ship is Tooth Ferry.) The company says this tradition of naming symbolizes the service’s role in connecting New Yorkers from diverse communities — a mission that aligns with Baby Shark’s goal of bringing families together through music and joy.
The partnership follows the debut of Baby Shark Boulevard, a YouTube series in which Baby Shark explores New York City landmarks such as Central Park, Times Square, and the Statue of Liberty. The Pinkfong Company plans to continue engaging U.S. fans with additional collaborations and events later this year.
