According to Programming Insider, the August 22, 2025 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown on USA Network averaged 1.258 million viewers, a 12.0% decrease from the 1.430 million viewers on August 15.
In the P18–49 key demographic, SmackDown drew a 0.35 rating, holding steady with last week. However, in the A25–54 demo, the show dropped from 0.51 to 0.45 (-11.8%). The household rating also fell from 0.83 to 0.73, translating to ~0.912–0.925 million homes, compared to last week’s 1.038–1.050 million homes.

This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured a lot of memorable moments and that included John Cena utterly roasting Logan Paul with a scathing promo, as he called Paul a parasite, among other things.
