Brokers gave companies a ranking out of five in each criterion – with lenders that achieved an average score of 4.0 or higher recognized as 5-Star Wholesale Lenders.
The survey revealed some intriguing insights: for instance, 67% of brokers said they worked with three to five lenders per year, with 30% using six to 10 and just 3% of brokers working with more than 10.
Mortgage industry veterans were also to the fore in the survey. Seventy-three percent (73%) of respondents had been originating loans for more than 10 years, with a further 20% originating for between four and seven years. Three percent (3%) had been originating loans for between one and three years, with 4% originating for less than one year.
