Kenny Omega is back—and he didn’t come alone.

After weeks of speculation that Omega was taking extended time off following his war with Kazuchika Okada at AEW All In: Texas, the Cleaner made a surprise return during the August 27 episode of AEW Dynamite—and the timing couldn’t have been more dramatic.

It all went down while Adam Page was in the ring delivering a passionate promo. Hangman addressed his AEW World Title win and gave a heartfelt shoutout to Will Ospreay, who’s currently taking time off to fix his neck.

That’s when Don Callis interrupted, walking out to taunt Page and tease that someone from the Don Callis Family might take that championship from him. As the ring filled with Callis’ crew, the segment looked like it was about to turn ugly fast—until Kenny Omega’s music hit.

The crowd erupted as Omega stormed the ring, flanked by Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight. Together, the trio ran off the Don Callis Family and stood tall with Hangman Page. The reunion came just weeks after reports claiming Omega was stepping away from AEW following the brutal title unification match at All In.

Before Wednesday’s return, AEW sources had confirmed Omega was off TV, but didn’t specify whether he’d be back for weekly appearances or just a few major moments. His absence followed a string of setbacks, including a life-threatening battle with diverticulitis earlier this year that nearly ended his wrestling career.

In the months since returning from illness, Omega wrestled ten matches—including the 30-minute classic with Okada that unified the AEW International and Continental Titles. That match had many questioning how much more his body could take.

Now it looks like Kenny Omega isn’t done just yet—and he may have some backup this time. With AEW losing stars like Will Ospreay and Adam Cole to injury or time off, Omega’s return adds a much-needed jolt to the roster.

Do you think Kenny Omega will be the one to keep the Don Callis Family in check—or is AEW just gearing up for another all-out war? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below.
