AJ Lee is back, and so is her merchandise.
The September 5 episode of WWE SmackDown was quite an episode in the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Rosemont. That included a big return, and a likely boost to WWE’s official online shop.
AJ Lee’s return to WWE was a long time coming. Now fans can celebrate by opening their wallets, because the company was quick to put her merchandise back on their shop. Ironically, WWE Shop was the one who really let the cat out of the bag about her return.
At this point, they have one design for AJ Lee, but more are likely on the way. The back of the shirt says “Love Bites Back,” which is a play on her old “Love Bites” catchphrase. The graphic on the front of her shirt is the same as her previous logo, which adds a boost of nostalgia for fans.
AJ Lee departed WWE on April 3, 2015, following her final match at WrestleMania 31. While lingering back problems played a major role in her decision to retire from in-ring competition, her exit also came amid reported backstage tensions.
