On freedom and comfort
Epictetus says, “Consider the idea of freedom like we do to animals. Like a tamed or pet lion who is fed and safe cannot be treated as free, a life of comforts cannot bring about freedom”
Maybe a comfortable life is slavish, or maybe we are slaves to our thoughts about comforts and who controls them.
