US: Luxury hotel Faena New York has opened in Manhattan, two decades after its debut in Buenos Aires and 10 years after its launch in Miami Beach.

The New York property offers 120 guest rooms and one two-storey private residence with three king bedrooms and a terrace.

Located at 500 West 18th Street, overlooking the High Line, the hotel also features several dining options, social areas and facilities, including La Boca restaurant, The Living Room and El Secreto event spaces, La Cava wine cellar and Tierra Santa Healing House wellness area.

At the front of the hotel is The Plaza – a space that will house the art non-profit organisation Faena Art, and Faena Theatre, set to open in spring 2026.

Founder Alan Faena said: “New York City has historically been the centre of innovation, creativity, and pushing boundaries. Faena embraces and amplifies that spirit, offering a touch of magic that honours and contributes to the vibrant legacy of New York.”

Faena New York opened in collaboration with chef Francis Mallmann, who will helm the main restaurant La Boca, and interior designer Peter Mikic who was in charge of the decor.

The hotel lobby features a site-specific mural by Argentine artist Diego Gravinese titled the The Sefirotic Journey.
