Xiaomi has begun releasing the global beta version of its HyperOS 3, following an initial launch of more than 80 eligible devices in China. This update, based on Android 16, is now expanding to international and European markets, allowing users outside China to experience the latest interface enhancements and system improvements.

The “Super Island” feature mimics the Dynamic Island found on Apple’s iOS

Global Expansion After China

The company prioritized its local Chinese market with early beta access and now opens the global beta to a wide range of devices. This signals Xiaomi’s intent to broaden its next-generation software offerings and unify its ecosystem across regions.

Users will have a lot of personalization options for the lockscreen.

Key Features of HyperOS 3

  • Visual Refresh: Redesigned icons, new battery and signal symbols, and smoother animations with blur effects enhance the overall look and feel.
  • Performance Improvement: Up to 30% system optimization improves fluidity and responsiveness, aligning HyperOS 3 with the latest competing Android skins.
  • Dynamic Screen Features: Adoption of smart interaction elements inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island, providing context-aware notifications and enhanced usability.
