Forget Shareka is an agronomic engineer and a seasoned environmental and sustainability professional. She holds a Licenciatura in Agricultural Science from EARTH University, Costa Rica, and an MSc in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from the University of Edinburgh, UK. Also, she is an award-winning social entrepreneur, who co-founded Chashi Foods, a social enterprise tackling food waste and postharvest losses through innovative technologies. Chashi Foods’ impactful work was featured at COP26 as a model climate solution. Currently, Forget works as the Environmental Compliance Manager in a telecommunication company. Her experiences span across industries; agriculture sector, private sector/NGOs, manufacturing and telecoms infrastructure.

Beyond her professional and entrepreneurial pursuits, she is a passionate advocate for youth and women’s empowerment, climate justice and sustainable community development. Her contributions in these areas have earned her several recognitions, including the Women in Agriculture Global Award (Germany), Edie’s 30 Under 30 Future Sustainability Leader and Climate Leader honours. She has also been spotlighted by global media platforms such as Devex and Global Citizen for her climate action work.
