The twenty-seventh Santo Domingo International Book Fair [Feria Internacional del Libro Santo Domingo (FILSD 2025 or FIL XXVII)] will take place from September 25 to October 5 at the Juan Pablo Duarte Cultural Plaza and other venues in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
This edition of the Dominican Republic’s most important literary event will be dedicated to historian Frank Moya Pons, in recognition of his valuable contributions to the study of national history and the consolidation of the country’s cultural identity.
We have chosen the image above because this year also marks the 33rd anniversary for Editorial Isla Negra, an independent publishing house based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and led by editor Carlos Roberto Gómez Beras. Isla Negra was founded in 1992 with the aim of promoting contemporary Caribbean alternative literature. Congratulations to Gómez Beras and the Isla Negra team for their anniversary and their sponsorship of various events at the book fair.
