Did Meghan Markle just debut her birthday bling? Fans are buzzing after spotting what appeared to be a brand-new ring on the Duchess of Sussex’s right hand.
A new celestial sparkle caught the light during her appearance alongside husband Prince Harry at the One805LIVE! concert, which was hosted at Kevin Costner‘s oceanside estate in Carpenteria, California, over the weekend on September 20.
The show-stopping piece — a pear-shaped dazzler believed to be the 14k gold Queen Water Drop Moonstone Ring with Full Pavé Diamond Halo from the brand Logan Hollowell — has some questioning if Harry, 41, purchased the item for Markle, 44, for her birthday on August 4, Daily Mail reported on Thursday, September 25.
The ring features an opal stone at the center surrounded by a halo of white diamonds totaling 0.25 carat weight, retailing for $4,195.
It also has a significant story behind the piece as the moonstone is speculated to “bring good fortune,” enhance “intuition,” promote “inspiration,” as well as bring “success in love as well as business matters,” per the website.
Plus, it is “associated with the moon and was the stone of the goddess Diana,” igniting speculation it could be a nod to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
“It has been worn as an amulet to bring good emotions to the wearer, while protecting those of a sensitive nature. Moonstone is used by healers to stimulate the functioning of the pineal gland and balance internal hormone cycles with nature’s rhythms,” per the site.
“Moonstone is a stone of inner growth and strength,” according to the description. “Though often considered to be a woman’s stone, it can be beneficial to men in opening the emotional self.”
Markle was previously seen wearing a similar piece — the Queen Water Drop Moonstone Necklace with Sprinkled Diamonds from the brand — while filming her Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan. The necklace costs $3,300, and comes with a 1.1mm Wide Rolo Chain.
While ringing in her birthday this year, the former Suits star posted a photo via Instagram from her intimate dinner in Beverly Hills, where she appeared to wear the same Maison Valentino mini dress with short sleeves that she rocked at Global Citizen Live in September 2021.
