Carnival Legend is sailing its first ever cruise from San Francisco today and is now the second Carnival cruise ship to offer cruises from the port.
Carnival Legend was welcomed to San Francisco by port leaders as they held a traditional plaque exchange with the ship’s senior officers.
Carnival Legend will kick off cruises from its new homeport with a four-night cruise to Mexico with a stop in Ensenada.
The ship will spend the summer sailing alternating four-night cruises to Mexico and 10-night cruises to Alaska.
In the fall, Carnival Legend will reposition to Galveston for cruises to the Western Caribbean.
Mark Harlow, captain of Carnival Legend, gave the following statement:

Carnival Legend has many Carnival favorites including Guy’s Burger Joint, BlueIguana Cantina, the RedFrog Pub, Alchemy Bar and WaterWorks Aqua Park.
The cruise ship was recently refreshed to include a Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge, Chef’s Table and Dreams Studio, along with an enhanced Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse and Cloud 9 Spa.
Carnival Legend is a 2,124-guest ship features over 630 balcony staterooms and 50 suites.
Carnival Cruise Line carries more guests from ports in California than any other cruise line.
