The state of North Carolina is voting tomorrow (5/13/25) to end the opportunity for pets to have access to raw milk products. Phone calls are needed today – Monday May 12, 2025 – to offices of North Carolina Senators.
The North Carolina Farm Bill – Senate Bill 639 – originally continued to allow raw milk pet products. But a change was made in the Bill at last minute striking the language that allowed raw milk pet products.
In the latest copy of the Bill, you can see the North Carolina government struck the entire paragraph that previously allowed the sale of raw milk pet products.
If it passes the North Carolina Senate, the Bill will move into the North Carolina House for a vote – but pet owners need to stop the bill from passing as it is currently written.
Raw milk pet products are available for sale is almost all US states. In fact, AAFCO Model Bill and Regulations – adopted by North Carolina – includes regulations that specifically allow the sale of raw milk pet products. However…someone in North Carolina has decided these valuable pet products (valuable to pet health) should no longer be allowed.
