Pets Often Need the Same Flower Essences You Do

Any animal lover knows that pets have feelings, but did you know that they often share emotional reactions with the humans they are in closest connection with? I notice this in particular with two cats Paul and I are family with now. Snookie Wookerson and Itsy Bitsy were adopted at the beginning of the pandemic and are indoor kitties because we live in an upstairs apartment with no safe yard for them to play in. I also work at home so at least one of us is with them most of the time and they are very bonded to us. The two of them are very in tune when one of us is upset. Snookie will actually try to stop Paul from typing when he’s angrily responding to someone on the internet and will put his head on his shoulder and reach out a paw to his chest when he’s sad. Fear is another thing though. One or both of them might actually hide if we’re worried or anxious or look around with big eyes.

Many animal communicators work with flower essences and report that a pet’s human will often need the same flower essence they prescribe for the animal. Sometimes the key to success in treating a cat or dog is to treat the family as a whole.

I do sell flower essence combos especially for pets but, except for pet-specific issues, it is far more common to use the same flower essences a person would choose for themselves. If a pet is grieving, choose flower essences for grief. If they are anxious choose ones for that purpose. The only difference is that you would use fewer drops. I suggest 2-3 drops of my dosage strength essences that are already diluted down to the right strength for adult human daily use. Mix the drops well into their food or water.

If you are concerned about the alcohol used to preserve these essences, let me know and I won’t add any additional alcohol if you promise to keep the bottle in your refrigerator. However, I can’t make my products 100% alcohol free because the stock essences I use to make my products are made with brandy. Alternatively, you could use an unscented spray from me and mist the air in the room. And THAT is exactly what I recommend for whole family use!

Flower essences are used to assist with mind-body-spirit interactions and individual results may vary. They are extremely dilute which makes them quite safe. But because so little physical substance can be detected in a flower essence solution, these products are presumed to work on an energetic or vibrational level—something that cannot be adequately tested by western scientific methods. Claims made by me, therefore, are based on personal experiences and the evidence of the combined multiple decades of case notes by Dr. Edward Bach as well as Healing Herbs and Flower Essence Services (the companies who make the ingredients I use in my products). This is not, however, accepted medical evidence or substantiated scientific evidence from a modern allopathic point of view. I am not a medical doctor or licensed healthcare practitioner.
