Oba Femi isn’t just focused on defending his NXT Championship — he’s also got his eye on a potential MMA run.
During a conversation with Jim Varsallone, Femi opened up about his interest in stepping into the cage if the opportunity presents itself.
“MMA… see, that piques my interest,” Femi said. “I actually do have some interest in doing that. And, you know, if it’s convenient and I have the opportunity to, I’ll definitely jump on it.”
Femi even cracked a smile when referencing WWE’s connection to UFC through TKO Group Holdings. “TKO Group, baby,” he said.
Since TKO Group Holdings now houses both WWE and UFC, the door is wide open for crossover opportunities. While Femi is set to defend his NXT Championship against Myles Borne at NXT Battleground on May 25, it’s clear his ambitions extend beyond the squared circle.
