It’s high time they roll out much needed upgrades.

If you’ve been grinding Warzone Ranked Play since the Call of Duty season three Reloaded update dropped, chances are you’ve run into more than a few frustrating server crashes. You’re not alone, as players everywhere are feeling the pain too, and 100 Thieves founder Nadeshot is right there with you.

Nadeshot vented his frustration and asked the CoD developers to roll out new servers after disconnections killed the vibe in ranked mode. The mode has just kicked off three seasons into the Black Ops 6 era and has made a comeback to the big map on the iconic Verdansk.

“I’m pretty sure Call of Duty is the only game in 2025 where one person in a lobby full of 149 other people can decide, ‘Hey, I just died and I don’t want anybody else to get any dope from this game, so I’m gonna log out the entire server.’ Once again, I don’t think I have played the game in my entire life where this was possible,” he said in a short video posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account.

The decorated former pro player even listed off other shooter titles like VALORANT, Counter-Strike, Marvel Rivals, and Rainbow Six, saying he’s never experienced anything like this in those games. “This is an exclusive Call of Duty experience,” he emphasized.

Nadeshot believes hackers might be behind the disconnections based on his own encounters. “Twenty minutes into a game, getting logged out because the hackers just died and don’t want to see us win,” he said. “Please, ladies and gentlemen, I’m begging you all, can we get some new servers?”

Activision has acknowledged the server issues and confirmed it’s investigating the root cause, but denied that it’s due to malicious attacks (or as we say, DDoS). As a temporary solution, it’s removed Warzone Ranked Play from the playlist until they can stabilize things.

Still, many in the Warzone community aren’t buying it. As one commenter on Nadeshot’s video put it (and I can’t help but agree with them): “It’s so sad that a billion-dollar company has yet to invest in better servers. Like what are they doing?”

Until fixes roll out, it looks like Ranked Play is on hold, and we are left in the dark on how long we’ll have to wait for a smoother Warzone Ranked experience.
