Why is downloading any new app on your phone such a bad experience? Everything needs updating all the time, and all the buttons, menus, and functions are never where you left them . It doesn’t matter how old you are, surely the user experience (UX) isn’t supposed to be this bad? To answer this question I tried to do the research on the most famous failures in user design over the past 20 years. Turns out we learn more from failures than successes, and I found 7 terrible examples.
