Paw Prints Publishing is officially in the loop.

The company, an imprint of Baker & Taylor, has secured the publishing rights to PBS Kids’ Lyla in the Loop. Launching Spring 2026, the agreement outlines four new children’s titles inspired by the hit series: two storybooks for emerging readers, one leveled reader, and a short story collection.

Paw Prints Publishing and Lyla in the Loop share a common goal — to inspire all kids to be creative, express themselves, and find their own ways to better the world around them. We’re so glad to work with the Paw Prints team to bring the stories to print for the first time.

— Dave Peth, 'Lyla in the Loop' creator

Lyla in the Loop follows 7-year-old Lyla Loops, her blue sidekick Stu, her close-knit family, and their everyday adventures running an inner-city diner. Throughout the series, young viewers learn creative problem-solving skills, as well as the importance of family, community, and collaboration. In keeping with the series’ message, each upcoming book will also include discussion questions, activities, and a tailored explanation of the concepts or skills in each story.

“The show has it all — humor, heart, and tons of practical and computational knowledge for young people,” said Bobbie Bensur, Senior Director, Paw Prints Publishing. “What resonates with us as a family is exactly what makes it an ideal content addition for Paw Prints Publishing — its wholesomeness, emphasis on representation, and kid-first sensibility is magical. We’re excited to translate that magic into storybooks and leveled books for emerging readers.”

The first Lyla in the Loop books are slated for release in Spring 2026.
