Speculation on WWE Possibly Changing Cody Rhodes’ Theme Song

Fans worried that WWE’s push to control wrestler entrance music might kill off Cody Rhodes’ iconic Kingdom theme can relax—at least for now.

During a backstage Q&A, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp was asked if Cody could be forced to swap out the theme song that’s become a signature part of his presentation. Sapp made it clear that’s not happening anytime soon, thanks to Cody’s current status in the company.

“I think that guy has enough pull to avoid that. It’s such an integral part of his presentation and the WWE presentation in general. Like, you wanna go there and do the ‘Whoa,’ you wanna listen to the song, all that good stuff. I think that would be really bad.”

Sapp did add that if Cody himself ever decided to change it, that’d be a different story—but WWE forcing the switch? Highly unlikely.

“Now, if he wanted to change it, I’m sure that it would be changed, but I would be shocked if they changed that one. Be very shocked.”

Cody’s entrance—complete with the Kingdom anthem and the crowd screaming “Whoa”—has become one of the biggest live moments in WWE shows. For now, it looks like WWE is smart enough to leave well enough alone.
