In the remaining oil fry finely chopped onion, add meat seasoned with salt and pepper and sauté while occasionally stirring. Finally, add the rest of the ground paprika and smoked paprika and sauté the meat.
For the dressing, mix together mayonnaise with ketchup, mustard, gherkin brine, finely chopped gherkins and season with salt and ground pepper.

When serving, layer the roasted potatoes, shredded lettuce, tomatoes and onions cut into thin slices, roasted meat and coarsely grated cheddar into the bowl. Pour the dressing over everything and serve.
