Competition: Allsvenskan
Market: Mjallby double chance
Odds: 1/2 @ Pribet
Looking to extend their buffer at the top of the Allsvenskan table on Monday evening, Mjallby will welcome Malmo to the Strandvallen.
Starting with the hosts, embarking on what has been a sensational run since opening up the 2025 campaign, Mjallby have certainly cemented their spot as Sweden’s ultimate surprise package. Continuing to receive a string of plaudits and breaking plenty of records, Anders Torstensson’s men find the mood in their camp at a famous high. Getting Monday’s showdown underway leading the chase at the top of the Allsvenskan table, the Yellows will be looking to make another heavyweight statement here. Hoping to widen their buffer over the chasing pack, the Hallevik-based outfit will be relishing their return from the summer interval. Last seen on June 1st clinching a routine 2-0 victory against Varnamo, Monday’s hosts have collected 13 points from their previous five Allsvenskan appearances. Likewise, it should also be highlighted that Mjallby have suffered just a sole defeat from any of their first 13 top-flight showdowns since opening up the 2025 campaign.
As for the visitors, while Malmo might have made real history last season as they claimed a 24th Allsvenskan crown, the Swedish giants have struggled to find any real fluidity this time around. Despite drawing a line under their three-match winless run last time out as they opened June with a 3-0 victory against Hacken, Henrik Rydstrom’s side sit seven points adrift of the European spots and they have a huge amount of pressure on their shoulders. Along with watching their Svenska Cupen adventure come to an end on May 29th, Monday’s guests have recorded just a pair of wins from any of their previous six appearances across all competitions. Failing to register consecutive victories since the start of April, Malmo should also be concerned by a nightmare record at the Strandvallen. Including a 2-1 loss when they last travelled to Mjallby back in July 2024, they have notched just a sole point from their previous three Allsvenskan matchups away at the league leaders.
