Nicola Peltz Beckham appears to be hitting back at people accusing her of “controlling” husband Brooklyn Beckham amid a family rift.
Nicola, 30, dropped a “like” on a comment under an Instagram post she shared on Monday, June 30, to celebrate her dad Nelson Peltz’s 83rd birthday. The snaps show Nicola, Brooklyn, 26, Nelson and other members of the Peltz family celebrating with a backyard party. (Nelson turned 83 on June 24.)
The comments section under Nicola’s post contained remarks criticizing Brooklyn for celebrating Nelson’s birthday after apparently forgoing his father David Beckham’s 50th birthday in May, as well as comments directed toward Nicola.
The actress and model did see one opinion she appeared to agree with, however, “liking” a comment that read: “The fact people are in this comment section talking bs about someone controlling a GROWN man is absurd. The guy is an adult and can make his own decisions, leave them be and stop blaming women for everything.”
Brooklyn and Nicola have recently been embroiled in a rumored feud with members of Brooklyn’s family. The couple added fuel to the rumors when they missed celebrations to mark David’s 50th birthday in London in early May. (His siblings, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13, all attended.)
A source told Us Weekly later in May that Brooklyn and Nicola “have not been in touch” with his family, nor have David and wife Victoria, 51, tried to reach out to their eldest son.
“There hasn’t been any sort of resolution from either side,” the source said.
Another source told Us in May that there is some “bad blood” between Nicola and Victoria dating back to Brooklyn and Nicola’s April 2022 nuptials.

“Things never really got smoothed over, and you can tell it still affects everyone,” the source said. “The tension is still present and it’s hard for Brooklyn at times. Brooklyn’s having a tough time with it. He’s super stubborn and just wants space from his family right now.”
Neither Brooklyn and Nicola nor David and Victoria have directly addressed the feud rumors. David did, however, include Brooklyn in a Father’s Day tribute shared via Instagram in June.
“My most important and favorite job in life is being a dad,” the retired soccer star captioned photos of his children on June 15. “I’m so proud of all of you and like daddy (sorry boys) tells you every single day, I will always be here for you no matter what. Mummy, thank you for doing the most important part and making me a father. There is no greater gift in life than making me a dad. Happy Father’s Day. I love you kiddies more than you could imagine.”
